We start off our series of player profiles with first baseman Cam Schiller. Wenatchee born, Cam moved to Arizona, finished high school there and went on to play his college baseball at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. Cam was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 7th round of the 2012 draft and played his first year of pro baseball here in Spokane last summer.
The stats for this season are accurate up to Saturday night June 22, 2013 and do not include Cam's 2-4 1RBI game Sunday
Cam became an early contender for our favorite player this summer because he let us use his player tickets to Opening Night. We're easy, and proud of it. After Sunday's game we had a chance to get a 5 minute chat with Cam about the start of the season and a few questions about life on the Indians.
